What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over five thousand years, but without the invasiveness of needles.  Instead, EFT involves tuning into the problem whilst tapping on a specific set of acupressure points to re-balance the body’s bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and stimulating the body’s innate healing mechanisms.

I offer Skype and telephone appointments as well as face-to-face and show you how to do EFT tapping yourself inbetween appointments.  Many people find this very useful and it allows you to be in control of your own health improvements.

The Uses of EFT

EFT is used to help people with a broad range of issues from phobias to post traumatic stress disorder to chronic illness and pain.  EFT is highly recommended to optimize your emotional health. Although it is still often overlooked, emotional health is absolutely essential to your physical health and healing.  No matter how devoted you are to the healthy diet and lifestyle, you will not harness your body's ideal healing and preventative powers if emotional barriers stand in your way.

EFT targets the underlying cause of problems and because of this, the potential areas where EFT can be used are unlimited and not restricted by the label given to any specific problem

EFT is very easy to learn and can help you with:

·         Removal of Negative Emotions

·         Reducing Food Cravings or Stopping Smoking

·         Reducing or Eliminating Pain

·         Implementing Positive Goals

Some people are initially wary of the principles that EFT is based on, as it is very unfamiliar to them.  The electromagnetic energy that flows through the body and regulates our health is only recently becoming more recognized in the West but has been used for thousands of years in the East. However, the results speak for themselves.  As EFT is non-invasive and there are no side effects, there is nothing to lose by trying it and my patients have been amazed with how quickly they have achieved improvements, even in the first session.
